Environment Canada is calling for another significant episode of freezing rain beginning Friday.
Significant ice accretion or build-up of 5 to 10 mm beginning late overnight or early Friday morning, and ending Friday afternoon.
An episode of freezing rain similar to the one experienced Wednesday and Wednesday night will affect the area. Several hours of freezing rain are likely. Some locations may see a changeover to rain Friday if temperatures rise above the freezing mark.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.
