Lanark County is going into the consulting business.
They’ve entered an agreement to help the Town of Smiths Falls develop their own climate action plan.
The deal means county staff will help advise the town when called upon to help identify and shape their plan over the course of the 18 month agreement.
Councillor Toby Randell shared his thoughts.
Among other things, Smiths Falls will assume travel expenses and pay an equal hourly rate plus applicable benefits to the county employees they’re enlisting for help.
