Ontario is spending an additional 1.3-billion dollars over three years toward stabilizing post-secondary institutions.
Colleges and Universities Minister Jill Dunlop says a bulk of the money will be put into a new Postsecondary Education Sustainability Fund and the rest will go to capital funding, research projects and other initiatives.
She was quick to note a big reason for this funding has to do with a federal choice putting these institutions in a difficult spot.
She also reassured families, noting that tuition fees will remain frozen for at least three more years.
