The early numbers are in from yesterday’s Polar Plunge put on by the Smiths Falls Police Service.
Over $9,400 has been raised so far after several participants jumped into the Rideau on a minus 18 day.
Acting Chief and Retired Chief Jodi Empey and Mark MacGillivray took the plunge for the SFPS, as did Constables Karling Fraser, Sean Keogan and Brett Lacey.
