Cole Burton was named EOJHL Coach of the Year in his first season as the bench boss of the Carleton Place Jr. Canadians.
When asked about how he felt about the recognition, Burton was quick to deflect credit to the players on the ice.
Carleton Place finished the regular season atop the Richardson Division, 10 points clear of second place, with a record of 32-9-3.
Burton also credited the rest of the coaching staff in assistant’s Cameron Duhn, Jeff Hyndman and Kevin Forbes for putting in the hours on and off the ice.

The Jr. Canadians play Game 1 of the Richardson Division Final Saturday night at home against the Richmond Royals at 7:30.
