The proposed development (2023)
The Town of Perth has an update concerning the Land Tribunal Process relating to CAIVAN’s proposed development on the golf course lands.
The town received a revised concept plan from CAIVAN including concessions related to the construction of a second bridge and the potential integration of lands made available for affordable housing.
Town staff met with the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority to talk about the concept. Officials are exploring avenues to continue working towards mediation, and say their aim is to ensure that any development aligns with the best interests of the community, respecting the town’s heritage, environment, and the well-being of all residents.
