A prime eastern Ontario eclipse viewing is just about an hour and a half away, at Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg. Director of Historic Sites for the St. Lawrence Parks Commission Geoff Waycik tells us they’re bringing in a heavy hitter for the once-in-a-lifetime event.
Waycik says it’s important to know the regular attractions and concessions at Upper Canada Village will be CLOSED.
Waycik says the area of the Upper Canada Village site hosting eclipse viewing will offer some services.
Eclipse viewing glasses are free at Upper Canada Village but parking is not.
Because concessions will be limited Waycik says make sure you’re self sufficient on the food front.
And like all organized eclipse viewing sites Waycik says early birds have the best chance of avoiding traffic congestion and more selection when it comes to a viewing location.
