A near $100,000 grant from the province means a living classroom will be designed at the new G. Tackaberry Family Home, formerly Maple View Lodge.
The Living Classroom model combines hands-on training in long-term care settings, providing students with practical skills, and exposure to the day-to-day workings of healthcare environments.
It’s a partnership between the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and St. Lawrence College.
This approach to PSW education gives students guaranteed employment after completing the program.
