
A Lanark Highlands resident has been charged after a traffic stop in Perth.
Members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle on Drummond Street on April 28th shortly after 1:30 a.m.
The officers demanded that the driver submit to a test using the approved roadside alcohol screening device but they refused.
32-year-old Shawn Mercier was charged with refusal to comply with demand. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
