A Smiths Falls man is facing charges after allegedly spitting on a town employee.
Police received a complaint earlier this month from a town employee who was revitalizing the pride crosswalk on Beckwith Street.
During the investigation, it was learned that the employee was approached by a male suspect who proceeded to spit on them while making homophobic comments.
55-year-old Michael Webster was arrested and faces hate motivated mischief and assault charges.
