A tie vote resulted in a defeated motion when it came to if Perth town council should sell off the Perthmore corridor to the adjacent homeowners.
The vote took place earlier this month and with Mayor Judy Brown declaring a conflict of interest, the result ended up being split 3-3 which is a defeat.
Deputy Mayor McPherson and councillors Boldt and McRae voted to sell and Councilors Bird, Smith, and Waterfield opposed.
