The UCDSB is struggling to see value in offering before and after school care programs.
With little demand and other services in many of the school regions, the board isn’t sold on the idea after completing a feasibility study.
The board’s Jeremy Hobbs says shifting schedules would raise issues with staffing.
In addition, they could risk closing small businesses, says Hobbs.
For now, the board will be keeping tabs on the matter to see if anything changes.
