Carleton Place CAO Diane Smithson provided some details on the planned redesign of Highways 7 and 15 within town limits and the need for south-side access roads.
Her comments came during a bylaw approval vote by council to purchase lands to provide those roads to highway businesses and a new subdivision of over 400 homes.
Council approved the $5M purchase of the lands.
