The Studio Theatre in Perth is putting on the Dan Needles play, “The Perils of Persephone” a classic political comedy based in a small town starting on Thursday.
Director Carolee Mason tells myFM about the base of the story set in a small Ontario town during a heatwave.
Dealing with the fallout follows, as Eldon works on another political run, this time for Warden.
Mason says they have a great cast in place, and the crew behind the scenes outdid themselves on the production.
As for Mason, the well-known former PDCI teacher says directing gives her such a sense of accomplishment.
The play opens at the Studio Theatre in Perth On Thursday at 7:30.
It also shows Friday at 7:30, then Saturday and Sunday with matinee performances at 2 each day. The same schedule repeats next week, starting Thursday, June 27.
