Environment Canada says Central and eastern Ontario could face heavy rainfall from today through Thursday morning due to the remnants of Hurricane Beryl. Localized rainfall amounts are expected to range from 25 to 50 mm.
As Hurricane Beryl dissipates, its remnants may bring significant rainfall to central and eastern Ontario. Currently, the heaviest rain is forecasted to stay south of the region. However, if the system moves farther north, rainfall warnings may be extended to include more areas, such as Lanark and Leeds.
For those concerned about flooding, it’s important to stay informed through your local Conservation Authority or the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. For the latest information, listen to 88.1 myFM and watch www.LanarkLeedsToday.ca.
Residents are advised to keep monitoring alerts and forecasts from Environment Canada to stay prepared for any changes in the weather conditions.
