The provincial government’s investing up to $260 million in its Skills Development Fund in a bid to address the labour shortage with a focus in skilled trades.
This marks the largest round of funding since the programs launch three years ago.
Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development David Piccini was enthusiastic about the news.
He notes the SDF fills a gap.
Employers and organizations can apply for the fifth round of SDF training stream starting July 29th.
