Lanark County Councillor Rob Rainer once again spoke to the importance of basic income.
Rainer’s been a long-time advocate of basic income because he feels the existing supports in place don’t go far enough.
The co-founder and chair of Lanark County Basic Income says municipalities acknowledging there’s an issue he says is their first step.
The Reeve of Tay Valley thanked Smiths Falls and Perth for publicly supporting the need for a program, and is hoping each municipality in Lanark County does the same.
