The Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is once again partnering with local Vets for a series of low-cost rabies vaccination clinics.
It’s just $25 to get your dog or cat vaccinated.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Linna Li tells us ultimately the goal is to make everyone in Lanark Leeds and Grenville safe from rabies, whether they walk on two legs or four.
Partner veterinarians, municipalities and local partners are supporting 9 low-cost Rabies Vaccination clinics in Brockville, Kemptville, Merrickville, Augusta Township, Prescott, Lanark, Carleton Place, Smiths Falls and Perth.
Andrew Dunn, Senior Public Health Inspector says hunting dogs, barn cats, and indoor pets aren’t exempt.
It only costs $25 per animal. You’re asked to have dogs on leashes and cats in carriers when you go.
You can get more information on the health unit’s website here.
