Smiths Falls Police received a report earlier this month from an investment scam victim who lost more than $80,000.
No details were released surrounding the specifics of this particular scam, but they are reminding the public not to engage in investment emails or buy gift cards for people you may speak to, and to contact your bank if you feel something is off.
