
Lanark County OPP has charged a Perth resident with sexual offences involving a child.
Officers began an investigation on August 31 into allegations involving a volunteer with the Ottawa Children’s Aid Society.
Police said the individual had been spending a great deal of time with a child and their family.
The OPP arrested 55-year-old Andrew Ryerson on September 1st and he’s facing five charges:
- Sexual assault of a person under 16
- Sexual interference
- Invitation to sexual touching
- Make sexually explicit material available to a person under 14 – two counts
Ryerson was released from custody following a bail hearing and is back in Perth court November 25th.
