A Smiths Falls man’s facing charges after Lanark County OPP said he drove at excessive speeds into the opposing lane and onto the shoulder.
According to the media release, an officer was on patrol on Rogers Stevens Drive around 1:45 am Sunday morning when a vehicle approached them driving well over 100km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Police conducted a traffic stop, found open liquor inside the vehicle, and arrested 50-year-old Kent Bennett for impaired driving and speeding.
