The Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is hoping to resolve a labour dispute before job action by their CUPE employees.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Linna Li says the health unit really respects their CUPE Employees and value the work they do in our communities.
Li says they are getting a plan together in case a strike does occur.
Last week CUPE said members had voted in favour for strike action.
The union says wages of the employees in the LGL Health Unit are behind those in neighbouring units.
myFM’s reached out to local CUPE representatives for comment.
