Lanark Transportation’s popular Ride the LT program has officially expanded to Mississippi Mills, providing affordable and flexible transportation options for residents. Launched in August, the service was recently celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Every Thursday, Ride the LT offers $2 trips, picking up passengers from anywhere in Mississippi Mills. Destinations alternate between Almonte on the first and third Thursdays, and Carleton Place on the second and fourth Thursdays. Riders can be picked up or dropped off at designated locations or anywhere they choose, with additional stops available for those with mobility issues.
Bookings can be made by calling Lanark Transportation at 1-877-445-5777 by Wednesday at 10 a.m. each week. Trips conclude with drop-offs at the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library and home drop-offs.
“Expanding Ride the LT ensures accessible transportation for all,” said Marilyn Bird, Executive Director. For more information, visit lanarktransportation.com or mississippimills.ca/RideTheLT.
