There’s a change at the top of one of Perth and Smiths Falls’ most cherished organizations.
The PEP Seniors Therapeutic Centre has welcomed Alexandra Prefasi as its new Executive Director. Prefasi brings over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector to the organization, which provides vital support to seniors in Perth and Smiths Falls.
PEP offers day programs that support seniors’ emotional, social, cognitive, and physical health, while also providing caregivers with respite. Prefasi’s background includes roles as a Research Associate, Consultant, and Executive Director for a provincial autism charity.
Board Chair Jennifer Perkin says the team is excited for Prefasi to continue building programs that help seniors stay healthy and live independently. PEP operates its services at two locations: 12 Elliot Street in Perth and 91 Cornelia Street in Smiths Falls.
Prefasi succeeds Suzanne Rintoul, a founding member of PEP, who now leads the Perth Family Health Team. Prefasi looks forward to expanding support for seniors and their families.
