The Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario came forth with a request of $50,000 per year for five years from the Town of Smiths Falls.
The organization says it made a $2.8 million economic impact last year and they’re in search of consistent funding they can hang their hat on, rather than be concerned about how much support they will or won’t get each year from the town.
Council’s requested a staff report to dig deeper into their request and come back with suggestions.
