A Smiths Falls resident is facing 11 charges after a road rage incident Tuesday.
Lanark County OPP responded to a vehicle travelling at high speeds, leading to an alleged road rage incident that involved an assault outside a Montague Township home.
No serious injuries were reported and the suspect fled in a vehicle, before being found in a ditch a short time later along Highway 43.
The male was arrested after attempting to flee on foot.
As a result of the investigation, 35-year-old Andre Cormier has been charged with:
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Overcome resistance by attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily
- Resisting a peace officer
- Dangerous operation of a vehicle
- Driving with no licence
- Driving without two licence plates
- Licence plate improperly displayed
- Stunt driving
- Having improper tires
- Mischief
