A progress update photo taken earlier this summer included in the public works report submitted to Lanark County council
Lanark County’s pockets are taking another hit with the Blakeney Bridge project.
Coming out of a closed session the details are limited, but council approved two funding adjustments: one of nearly $115,000, and a second of about $310,000 to cover de-watering.
The money will be pulled from the public works budget surplus as well as its reserves.
It was announced earlier this summer the bridge wouldn’t be done by the end of the year due to this summer’s heavy rainfall.
