November 3rd marked one year since the hit-and-run death of Montague Township man Steven Tate.
His body was found adjacent to Highway 15 near Smiths Falls five days after he was reported missing, the same day he was last seen alive.
Investigators believe someone out there knows what happened to Tate and are encouraging them to contact police or crime stoppers to give his family closure.
A dark-coloured hatchback or sedan, possibly a Mazda, is believed to have been involved. It would have had damage to the front passenger side. A video of the suspect’s vehicle was released earlier this year. Detectives want to speak with anyone who may have seen a damaged car potentially matching the description anytime after 8:00 p.m. on November 3, 2023.
A $50,000 reward was announced earlier this year for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
