The Town of Perth isn’t immune to the rising cost of living and as a result, are considering a steep tax levy increase for 2025.
Town staff recommended a 10% jump in tax rates, coupled with a 6% annual increase starting in 2026, alongside the same hike for water bills.
Those figures would average out to $321 more for a property assessed at $300,000.
Council’s continuing the discussion at their next meeting.
