The 2024 Lanark County Awards of Excellence were presented this month at county council.
Among the four recipients was Kristine Fair, the chair of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation who shared her philanthropic approach.
After retiring from a nursing career that spanned over four decades at Almonte General Hospital, Joan Southwell continues to volunteer for AGH and also received the county-wide honour.
Tanya Jamieson was another recipient. She sits on the Perth & District Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the MRI fundraising committee for the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital.
Giving back is what Perth does, says Jamieson.
The fourth recipient of an award of excellence was Jan Watson, the chair of Home Hospice North Lanark, which has seen incredible growth throughout her tenure.
