Carleton Place Cruise Nights celebrated 13 years of supporting the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation, raising over $75,000 for vital hospital equipment since its start.
This summer, despite rainy weather, the event raised $7,431, matched by longtime supporter Rolly Larmour, bringing this year’s total to $14,862. Organizer Jeff Shoots called it “incredible” to see the event’s growing impact on local healthcare.
The provincial government relies on communities to fund hospital equipment, making events like Cruise Nights crucial. Foundation Executive Director Robyn Arseneau praised the event’s volunteers and donors for ensuring healthcare remains accessible close to home.
Larmour, a regular participant, said his donations are his way of giving back, knowing the hospital helps everyone.
Cruise Nights will return in May 2025, concluding with a grand finale in Beckwith. For more information, contact Shoots at my68lark@rogers.com.
