Despite the return of mail service tomorrow, the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation is feeling the pinch of the postal strike and is asking regular donors who contribute through the mail for a little help.
Donor relations Coordinator Sarah Stewart says this has been a tough month.
Donations to the Foundation go towards equipment in the hospital. The provincial and federal governments do no provide funding for equipment. Our foundations rely on donors to purchase everything from sterilization systems to a new cataract microscope, that they are fundraising for now.
Stewart says there are plenty of ways you can make a donation.
The number to call is (343) 881-GIVE. In each case a tax receipt is provided.
Stewart says there’s another way that you can also donate and maybe win some money in the process.
Mail in donations account for close to $400,000 every year so they’re hoping regular donors and new ones too will continue with their generosity.
Stewart added that the foundation and hospital staff are very grateful to all who have donated this year.
