This year’s Perth Polar Bear Plunge is one for the books setting records for number of plungers and funds raised.
More than 200 brave souls leapt into the Tay River next to the Legion to welcome 2025 yesterday morning (Jan. 1).
Anne Jansen, Volunteer Executive Director form the Hospice Hub, shared her reaction to the $84,000 raised for their organization.
Jansen says the money will go a long way too as they support people and their families with end-of-life care.
Jansen and the organization are now left with a dilemma: how to thank all those that made it possible.
She says the support proves the need for hospice care in our community is growing, and respected.

It was also announced that next year’s beneficiary of the Perth Polar Bear Plunge will be The Perth Legion, which is celebrating 100 years.
