The Lanark County OPP has charged a 17-year-old Drummond-North Elmsley resident with multiple offences following an investigation involving youth victims.
Officers launched the investigation on January 20, 2025. The accused was arrested the same day and charged with sexual assault, assault, three counts of uttering threats, and two counts of assault with a weapon.
The teen was released from custody and is set to appear before the Ontario Youth Court of Justice in Perth at a later date. Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the name of the accused will not be released to protect their identity and that of the victims.
The investigation is ongoing as police believe there may be additional victims.
