Perth residents will have a chance to hear from local candidates in the upcoming Ontario Provincial Election at a special All-Candidates Meeting on Tuesday, February 18th at 6:30 p.m. The event, hosted by the Perth & District Chamber of Commerce and Carleton Place & District Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Perth Civitan Club on Hwy. 43.
Members of both Chambers can submit questions beforehand, while the public will have the opportunity to ask questions during the event.
Perth Chamber Executive Director Paloma Mazer emphasizes the importance of this event, saying, “Voters want to hear directly from all political parties, especially with such a short campaign period leading up to the February 27th election.”
Confirmed candidates include incumbent Progressive Conservative MPP John Jordan, Liberal Rob Rainer, NDP’s John MacRae, and Green Party candidate Dr. Marlene Spruyt. Additional candidates are expected to attend.
