With Ontario’s provincial election set for February 27, many voters are bracing for winter challenges—especially seniors and those with mobility issues. The cold and icy conditions have raised concerns about accessibility on Election Day.
One easy solution is voting by mail. Elections Ontario offers a vote-by-mail option, allowing eligible voters to cast their ballot from the comfort of home. The deadline to apply is 6 p.m. (Eastern Time) on February 21. Applicants must provide identification and personal details to complete the process.
For those who prefer in-person voting but want to avoid the rush, early voting is available at local election offices and select advance polling stations. Assistive voting technology will also be available for those who need it.
Elections Ontario encourages voters to plan ahead and explore their options. More information, including how to apply for vote-by-mail, can be found at elections.on.ca.
