An Ottawa man is facing charges after an alleged road rage incident on Highway 7 near Perth on February 8, 2025.
Lanark County OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint around 5:45 p.m. about a vehicle being driven dangerously. The situation escalated when one driver approached another in a parking lot, allegedly armed with a hammer. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Sebastien Lavergne, 21, has been charged with assault with a weapon and dangerous operation of a vehicle. The accused was released from custody and is set to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 3, 2025.
The OPP continues to remind the public to stay calm behind the wheel and report any dangerous driving to authorities immediately.
