Smiths Falls Declares Significant Weather Event
The Town of Smiths Falls will declare a significant weather event at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, due to the forecasted winter storm. This suspends standard winter maintenance timelines until conditions improve.
Snow clearing will take longer than usual. Residents are asked to give Public Works space to operate. The event may extend into next week, with updates posted on the Town’s website and social media.
Winter Parking Restrictions remain in effect from midnight to 7 a.m. until March 31. Vehicles left on streets or in Town lots may be ticketed or towed. Overnight parking permits are available at smithsfalls.ops-com.com or Town Hall.
