Lanark County Interval House felt the recent provincial election was “unnecessary,” and their fight to end intimate partner violence remained in the same spot it was before.
With Premier Doug Ford retaining power, Executive Director Erin Lee doesn’t foresee the province following through on the first recommendation – admitting there’s a problem.
And with recent funding decisions around community support groups, Lee’s concerned the fight will be soon go in the wrong direction.
