The Smiths Falls Police Services Board are exploring ways to pool resources with other boards.
Chair Shawn Pankow said there’s already been preliminary discussions.
Ontario’s Inspectorate of Policing’s Graham Wight said these conversations are encouraged and being had across the province.
What would and would not be shared is something which would be worked out, with the ultimate goal being to strengthen and streamline each police board.
