
Two Smiths Falls residents are facing a total of 25 charges after police responded to a report of individuals rummaging through unlocked vehicles on Kensington Avenue.
On April 3rd, officers located the suspect vehicle in a parking lot and arrested the individuals without incident.
39-year-old Brandee Dougherty was arrested on the strength of three outstanding warrants and charged with failing to comply with their probation order (x12), theft under $5,000 (x3), and disguise with intent (x2).
48-year-old Paul Lavergne was charged with failing to comply with their probation order (x2), and six provincial charges in trespassing and driving related offences.
Dougherty was again arrested on April 4th after posting bail on these charges for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
