Michelle Foxton, the Lanark-Frontenac Liberal Candidate, held a meet and greet in Carleton Place on Saturday April 12.
Shortened introductory comments gave plenty of time forĀ Foxton to take open questions from residents, such as one asking how she would avoid conflicts of interest as an MP while owning a law firm.
She added she had no stakes in stocks or properties other than the family home.
When asked how the Liberals planned on increasing military spending in light of lean revenue and competing healthcare demands, she responded.
A local resident without a family doctor for either his wife or daughter, wondered what power the federal government could exert to get provinces to improve wait times and overall access.
Foxton said she was an example of managing her own health concerns after changing diet and exercise to lower her blood sugar levels shortly after a diabetes diagnosis.
