A 37-year-old man has been charged with accessing child pornography following a Lanark County OPP investigation that began in June 2024.
Police say officers launched the investigation after receiving information that a suspect was accessing child sexual abuse material online. With help from the Lanark County Crime Unit and the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the county.
Several electronic devices were seized and examined. Police say they found images of child pornography on the devices.
On April 16, 2025, Brandon Adams, 37, was arrested and charged with one count of accessing child pornography.
The accused was held in custody and appeared for a bail hearing the same day at the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth.
The OPP says it continues to work with specialized units to identify and stop the exploitation of children through online and digital evidence investigations.
