Lanark County OPP have charged a 49-year-old man following an intimate partner violence investigation in Tay Valley Township.
Police say officers responded to a call at a home on April 6, 2025. One man was arrested and later charged with assault and two counts of spousal assault.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 5. His name will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
Police are reminding the public that supports are available for those experiencing intimate partner violence or sexual assault.
