Scott Reid has been re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Lanark–Frontenac.
Moments after the result came in, he told myFM he’s honoured to be given another mandate, and address one of the biggest issues the riding faces – affordability.
With the Liberals winning a minority on the federal front, Reid spoke to the Conservatives once again being the official opposition, and how it’s a better democracy without a majority government.
Reid took another shot at how the federal government’s handled the trade war.
Reid reiterated his preference of extremely targeted tariffs as a better solution than a matching response.
Liberal candidate Michelle Foxton finished second to Reid in consecutive elections. The NDPs Danielle Rae placed third, and the Green of Party of Canada’s Jesse Pauley fourth.
