Halfway through the 10-year Housing and Homelessness Plan, Lanark County Councillor Peter McKenna requested a progress update.
He was impressed after hearing how much has been made.
Director of Social Services Emily Hollington said there’s over 4,000 vacant properties across the county, a majority likely being cottages.
Eight out of 44 action items have not yet been explored, with the remainder either complete, ongoing, or addressed with the county’s Offical Plan update.
