Drivers in Lanark County should expect delays as construction begins on two major roads.
G. Tackaberry and Sons Construction is working on County Road 10 (Scotch Line Road), from Glen Tay Road to Otty Lake Side Road.
The 2.5 km rehabilitation will run until mid-June and include culvert replacements, pulverizing, a new left-turn lane at Glen Tay Road, and paving with warm-mix asphalt.
Single-lane closures will be in place during working hours.
At the same time, Thomas Cavanagh Construction has started upgrades on a 3.4 km section of County Road 511, beginning 3 km north of Tatlock Road. T
hat work will continue until early August and also include drainage work, rock breaking, and resurfacing.
Speed reductions and lane closures will be in effect in both zones.
Lanark County urges drivers to slow down, follow posted signs, and stay safe around construction crews.
