Rideau Lakes council’s passed their 2025 budget with a 5.78% tax rate increase.
The township says this is the first year since 2018 they’ve passed a balanced budget without borrowing funds.
This’ll result in the median single family house owner paying $64.71 in additional property tax in 2025.
The budget includes the demolition of the former Delta Maple Syrup Factory, several road work projects and financing the Portland Hall and Library.
