Lanark County OPP have charged a 31-year-old man following an investigation into threats of violence in Perth. Officers responded to a disturbance on May 7, 2025, just before 1:00 p.m., after receiving a complaint about threats.
Joseph Bugby, from Perth, faces three counts of uttering threats and two counts of mischief.
He was arrested at the scene and held for a bail hearing. Bugby appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 8, 2025.
The investigation continues, and further details may be released as the case progresses. Lanark County OPP are reminding the public to report any suspicious or threatening behaviour to ensure the safety of all community members.
