Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers found 63 litres of undeclared alcohol hidden inside a traveller’s vehicle at the Lansdowne port of entry.
The discovery was made during a routine inspection. Officers seized the alcohol and issued a penalty to the traveller, who failed to declare the goods as required by law.
CBSA reminds all travellers entering Canada to declare everything they are bringing with them, including alcohol. Failing to do so can lead to penalties, seizures, and even criminal charges in some cases.
